They defeated the Garner
Trojans in the first round of the NCHSAA 4A Playoffs on Friday night, 2-1
The team will host the Raiders from Richmond County in a second-round playoff
game
on Tuesday, May 13 at 7:00 PM at Optimist Park.
Admission will be $6.00 per person.

and track & field, has been named as
one of the recipients
of this year's "Eight Who Make a Difference" Awards
given by the
North Carolina High School Athletic Association.
The award, given annually
to eight coaches from high schools from around the state,
recognizes individuals
for their exemplary sportsmanship,
dedication to their profession, and commitment
to athletics.
Coach Lewis received his award at the NCHSAA Annual Meeting
on May 1
at the Smith Center in Chapel Hill.

School will be offered this summer free of charge through Nova Net

July 2nd - August 7th. Seats are limited and students will be selected
based on the
following criteria:
Seniors needing to graduate (2008)
Juniors needing to be promoted and graduate (2009)
Sophomores needing a class to be promoted
Freshmen needing a class to be promoted
Applications will be available in Student Services after final report cards are
distributed.

High School will host a Summer Orientation July 22-24
- Students with the last names of A-G will attend on July 22
- Students with the last names of H-O will attend on July 23
- Students with the last names of P-Z will attend on July 24
The orientation is from 8:15 until 1:00 daily.
Parents and students have separate orientations during the day.
