On behalf of Dr. Gregory Decker, the principal of Sanderson High School, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Mesiano to the position of men’s and women’s tennis coach.  Mr. Mesiano has a considerable amount of experience teaching players of all ages how to improve their tennis game.  He has earned certification as a tennis teaching professional.  Several years ago, he served as a volunteer tennis coach for the Sanderson tennis teams.  Joe and his wife have two daughters who are Sanderson graduates.  He assumes the positions left vacant by the retirement of long-time coach Andy Fowler.  Coach Mesiano can be reached by email at jtennispro@nc.rr.com.

Tryouts for the 2009 women's tennis team will begin on Monday, August 10 at 8:00 AM on the tennis courts. (There was a previous announcement made suggesting that tryouts would start on August 3. That is incorrect.)
