Students will also be instructed on study skills to develop independent student-owned strategies necessary to successfully participate in the Graduation Project and to enable them to become life-long learners. |

| Career Interest Survey Sanderson’s Career Development Coordinator will schedule all freshmen, through their English classes, to take a Career Interest Survey. The survey is computer based, will provide tools for discussion for potential Graduation Project activities, and will become a part of the portfolio |

| Research Skills All ninth grade students will receive an orientation to the Media Center and research tools. English classes will implement a standard research method, other subject areas will implement the same research methods, project will be assigned requiring research, and samples may become part of the student portfolio. |
