Sanderson Community

YAHOO! What is this SHS Community YaHoo! Group that everyone is talking about? It is a weekly (sometimes twice a week) summary of all that is going on at Sanderson and in the Sanderson community for the coming two weeks. It's filled with valuable information that keeps you and your students "in the know."

If you would like to join, it's simple--go to the YaHoo! Sanderson Community Website and click on "Join This Group." Follow the directions provided, and you'll be good to go! You can unsubscribe at any time (note the link at the bottom of each e-mail).

If you have any information/announcements that you would like to have passed along to the Sanderson Community, please e-mail them to Bonnie by Thursday at 5:00 pm.

To opt out of receiving the printed SPARTANewsletter, please E-mail Fran Holland at fsholland@nc.rr.com. In your e-mail, include all of your students’ names, grades and your street address (to be sure we delete the correct mailing). Then join our Yahoo group to receive prompt notification when the newsletter is posted online.

Please help spread the word - the deadline for the next Spartan Newsletter is Friday, October 29.

This will be the last newsletter mailed to all Spartan households. We are switching from an opt-out to an opt-in. Future issues will be available on-line and families will need to opt-in to receive a mailed copy.

Deadline for submissions is 7 pm on the date listed. No late submissions will be accepted. Keep in mind the mailing dates when sending information about upcoming events.

Please respect the deadlines. The WCPSS print shop requires a minimum of 10 (yes, ten) days to print our newsletter.

Articles (content and formatting) are subject to editing for clarity and length. Remember, concise articles are more likely to be read. Some design elements of the Spartan Newsletter are:

  • · All caps are only used for acronyms
  • · Italics are not used in the body of an article
  • · Underlines are usually reserved for URLs in the PDF version
  • · Excessive punctuation is removed
  • · Bold font is only used for students’ and teachers’ names and important dates
