Spartan Updates — Bi-Weekly Newsletter
Sanderson’s Students Against Hunger Food Drive has been a proud, undefeated tradition for more than 25 years, supporting the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina and helping families facing food insecurity. Last year, our school collected 36,000 dollars and 2,103 pounds of food, and for 2025 we set a goal of raising 40,000 dollars to provide 200,000 meals. The Sanderson community surpassed that goal in an incredible way, raising 45,148 dollars and collecting 2,450 pounds of food, which equals 227,780 meals. This achievement stands as one of the most successful food drives in our history and reflects the compassion, teamwork, and school spirit that make Sanderson strong.
